Cookie Policy

Updated: August 14, 2026

This notice explains what this website stores on your device, why, and how to change your mind. It covers mentornity.com and its language versions. The Mentornity application, which you reach after signing in, is covered by the Privacy Policy.

Who is responsible

This website is operated by Plademy OY, a company registered in Finland. It decides what this site stores on your device and why, and is the data controller for it. Write to info@mentornity.com with any question about this notice, or to exercise the rights set out at the end of it.

Mentornity is sold in different markets by different companies in the same group. If you send us an enquiry, it is passed to the one that serves your market — Mentornity Bilişim A.Ş. in Türkiye, Mentornity LLC in the United States, Plademy OY elsewhere — and that company then becomes responsible for contacting you. Which one it is does not change anything about the cookies on this site.

If you are in Türkiye, the Turkish version of this page also sets out your rights under the KVKK.

Nothing non-essential runs before you choose

When you first arrive, everything except the strictly necessary items below is switched off. Google Tag Manager loads with all analytics and advertising permissions denied, and only receives permission if you grant it. Closing the banner without choosing grants nothing.

Your answer is kept in the mn_consent cookie, together with the date you gave it and the version of this notice it was given to. That record is what we rely on to show that consent was given; it lives on your device, so if you clear your cookies it goes with them and you will be asked again.

Strictly necessary

These are set because the site cannot do what you asked it to without them, and they cannot be switched off. The two Mentornity cookies stay on your device and are read by no one else. The Cloudflare cookies are set by Cloudflare, which processes your IP address to tell a person from an automated submission and uses it for nothing else.

NameSet byPurposeDuration
mn_langMentornityRemembers the language you picked, so the site is not offered to you in the wrong one on every page. Written only when you choose a language or dismiss the language offer.1 year
mn_consentMentornityStores your cookie choice itself, so you are not asked again on every page.6 months
__cf_bm, cf_clearanceCloudflareAnti-spam check on the contact, demo and sign-up forms (Cloudflare Turnstile). Distinguishes a person from an automated submission.Session to 30 minutes

Analytics, only if you allow it

NameSet byPurposeDuration
_ga, _ga_*Google Analytics 4Counts visits and shows which pages are read, so we know which guides are worth writing more of.Up to 2 years
mn_first_touchMentornityLocal storage, not a cookie. Records which campaign, directory or search brought you here, so that if you later send us an enquiry we know which channel to credit. Stores no name, email or message.30 days

If you decline analytics, mn_first_touch is never written and none of the services above receive anything. Our own web server still keeps a short-lived record of arrivals on this site, described below; if you send us an enquiry, we may use it to work out which site or advertisement brought you here.

Advertising and session recording, only if you allow it

NameSet byPurposeDuration
_fbpMeta (Facebook)Measures whether an advertisement led to a visit. The pixel records page views only; we send Meta no name, email or form content.3 months
_clck, _clskMicrosoft ClarityRecords how pages are used, including a replay of your visit, to find where a page confuses people. Anything you type into a form is masked in that recording before it leaves your browser.Up to 1 year

Our own server logs, which are not cookies

Like every web server, ours writes a line to a log when a page is requested. When you arrive on this site from somewhere else, that line records the time, the page, the full address you used including any campaign tags a directory or advertisement added to it, the site that linked you here, your IP address and your browser’s identification string. Nothing is stored on or read from your device for this, which is why it is not in the tables above and does not depend on your cookie choice.

We use these logs to keep the site secure and, if you send us an enquiry, to work out which site, directory or advertisement brought you to us, so that we know which of them are worth paying for. The basis for this is our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The logs are deleted after 30 days, only the name of the channel stays with your enquiry after that, and nothing from them is sent to the advertising platforms or to anyone else. You can object at any time at info@mentornity.com. If you go on to send us an enquiry, the enquiry itself also records which page you arrived on and which of our own pages you opened before writing — our pages only, never anywhere else you have been — so that we can see what you had already read when you got in touch.

How long analytics data is kept

Separately from the cookies above, the data Google Analytics collects is held on Google’s side for a limited period, which we set:

  • Event data: 2 months. This is the shortest period Google offers and the one we use. Aggregate reporting is unaffected by it.
  • User data: 14 months, and the clock is not reset when you come back. A returning visitor’s data is therefore deleted 14 months after it was first collected rather than being kept indefinitely.

Who receives data, and where

With your consent, Google (Analytics, Tag Manager), Meta and Microsoft receive data from your visit, including your IP address and the pages you viewed. Without your consent no data reaches any of them.

All three are outside the EEA and hold this data in the United States. These transfers rest on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, under which all three providers are certified, with the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses as the fallback where the framework does not apply. A copy of the safeguards is available on request at info@mentornity.com.

Declining analytics and advertising stops all of this: nothing is shared, and the site still works in full.

Cloudflare runs the anti-spam check on our forms and processes your IP address for that purpose. This happens under the strictly necessary basis, so your consent choice does not affect it; the transfer is covered by the data protection terms of our agreement with Cloudflare, including the Standard Contractual Clauses.

Meta. For the advertising pixel, Meta and Plademy OY are joint controllers for the collection and transmission of the data, under Meta’s Controller Addendum, which sets out what each is responsible for. What Meta does with the data afterwards is Meta’s responsibility, and is governed by its own terms.

Your choices

  • Change or withdraw consent at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Withdrawal takes effect immediately and is as easy as giving consent.
  • Browser controls. Every major browser can block or delete cookies. Blocking the strictly necessary ones may stop the forms working.
  • Opt out of Google Analytics everywhere with Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Legal basis

Strictly necessary items need no consent under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, because the site cannot do what you asked without them; the related processing of personal data rests on our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Everything else — analytics, advertising and session recording — is stored only with your consent under Article 6(1)(a), which you may withdraw at any time without giving a reason and without it costing you anything.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of processing of your personal data, and you may object to processing or request portability. Where processing rests on your consent, withdrawing it does not affect what was lawfully done before you withdrew.

To exercise any of these, write to info@mentornity.com. We answer within one month, as Article 12(3) of the GDPR requires; if a request is complex we may extend that and will tell you why within the first month. You may also complain to the data protection authority of the country where you live or work.

Changes

If the cookies used here change, this page changes with them and the date at the top is updated. A material change resets your stored choice: your consent is recorded against a version of this notice, and when that version moves on you are asked again rather than carried over on a consent you gave to something else.
